BUT OUR MISSION, "CHARITY"
HAS EXISTED FOREVER!
After much prodding, in 2018, Our Bishop, the Most Reverend Ronald W. Gainer, gave the Knights in the Diocese of Harrisburg, a task.
He requested assistance with prayer, volunteerism and financial support for the summer retreat of adults with developmental disabilities at Camp Kirchenwald. The Harrisburg Diocesan Chapter undertook this challenge as they had with supporting Quo Vadis and Fiat Days, but fell short of meeting the financial aspect of the request.
Knights in Action, by becoming a 501(c)3, intends to remedy the financial requirements of the Camp Kirchenwald Retreat, Quo Vadis and Fiat Days, support of Seminarians and Religious and the training and assistance to youth groups in the Catholic school system.
Our FIRST goal is to have the support of EACH and EVERY COUNCIL and ASSEMBLY in the Diocese to reach TOTAL funding for Camp Kirchenwald.
We intend to accomplish this by:
Reasonable Requests
Asking each Council, Assembly:
To attain or become a sponsor for three (3) golf holes at $100 each.
To attain or provide two (2) gifts for golfers
To encourage a foursome to represent your Council/Assembly
